Say a cleaver was going to fall on thy foot, wouldst thou rather it chopped off all thy toes individually - plip plip plip plip plop - or the whole toe area in one big chunk - thud?

I’m not seeing much advantage of one over the other.
It is an æsthetic advantage, Kovac. And, naturally, I would go for the “plip plip plip plip plop” option. Or possibly the other way around: ie, big toe first (I am presuming it is the big toe which makes the “plop”).
