And then there was the guy at a wedding who laughed at me for not eating chicken drumsticks with my fingers and said "I guess she's not used to Kiwi ways" - no idea where he thought I was from. And then there was the woman at Uni who complimented me on my excellent English, presumably thinking I was Of Foreign Extraction... and my <em>very</em> weird Screen and Media supervisor who told me that Helpdesk Man and I both speak in an "affected" way, and went on to say "it must be like dating your brother". Which... was difficult to respond to adequately, given that she was marking my assignments. I get it, I talk funny, but sheesh. Uncalled-for much? Eh, blame Wikimedia Commons. Besides, the above picture is of a viol (bass viol, I think) - forerunner to the cello. Check out the shape and the number of pegs on the scroll. You never told me that story before! Hee hee!
